The U.S. Navy flight demonstration squadron, the Blue Angels, alongside the U.S. Air Force flight demonstration squadron, the Thunderbirds, flew in formation above Philadelphia, Pa. as a salute to frontline COVID-19 responders April 28, 2020. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, is providing military support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency to help communities in need. Blue Angels and Thunderbirds Fly Over at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., on April 28, 2020 and fly over the hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20) to honor frontline COVID-19 responders and essential workers with formation flights over New York City. A formation of six F/A-18C/D Hornet aircraft, and six F-16C/D Fighting Falcon, conduct the flyovers as a collaborative salute to healthcare workers, first responders, military and other essential personnel.
