Members of the 34th Fighter Squadron, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, pilot a four-ship of F-35A Lightning II aircraft over northern Utah on July 25th, 2016. The aircraft are part of Hill's 388th and 419th Fighter Wings, the first Air Force fighter wings to house operational F-35 aircraft. 34th FS pilots and maintenance personnel are preparing to reach initial operational capability. In IOC configuration, the aircraft will be able to penetrate areas with developed air defenses, provide close air support to ground troops and be readily deployable to conflict theaters.
