U.S. Airmen from the Illinois Air National Guard assigned to the 340th Expeditionary Aerial Refueling Squadron refuel A-10 Thunderbolt IIs and F-16 Fighting Falcons using a KC-135 Stratotanker over Afghanistan in support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel, Nov. 12, 2019. The 340th EARS maintains a constant presence in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, supporting U.S. and coalition aircraft in various operations.
