72369 (MSN 10474, Line No. DC205) delivered to USAAF Dec 6, 1944. Sold to Douglas Aircraft CO Dec 20, 1945, Converted to DC-4 after USAAF service. To Western Airlines Aug 8, 1946 as NC88701. To United Airlines Aug 1947 and named "Mainliner Hoover Dam". Bought in 1950 by California Eastern Aviation as N4002B. Damaged in midair
collision with Overseas Ntional Airways DC-4 N79992 (ex 42-72727) near San Francisco/Oakland Nov 17, 1951 but was able to land safely. In 1951 to TACA International (Transportes Aereos Centroamericanos) as YS-04C then YS-73. In 1952 to RANSA (Ruta Aeras Nacional SA) of Costa Rica as TI-1046C (again as a C-54B). To Trans Ocean Airlines Apr 4, 1952 as DC-4 registered as N4664S. To LAPSA (Lineas Aeras Paraguayas) Oct 1963 as ZP-CAR, to Paraense Transwportes Aereos Oct 31, 1969 as PP-BTV. WFU and stored Sao Paulo-Congonhas, Brazil in 1969. Broken up Jul 1980.
